14 Mar How to Update Cage Cards Directly from Excel (Step-by-Step Demo)
From time to time, we encounter animal rooms without internet access or an animal management system. In such cases, however, we rely on Excel, a USB stick, and CageTalkers® Assist. With this simple setup, we manage animals directly at the laminar flow workstation. At the same time, we avoid Wi-Fi, firewall rules, and complex IT systems.
First, we prepare cage data in Excel and export XML files to a USB stick. Next, we upload the files into the Virtual Changing Station. Then, we assign CageTalkers® labels to the correct cages. After that, we update the digital cage cards at the rack.
As a result, we improve clarity, hygiene, and traceability.
