Fewer animals in preclinical research require higher process quality and stronger quality control.
Therefore, CageTalkers Assist brings transparency and quality assurance directly into animal rooms.
CageTalkers Assist works as an add-on to any animal management system.
First, staff pre-register all transactions in the AMS.
Then, they carry out these tasks in the animal room using digital cage cards.
As a result, no data must be written back to the AMS during execution.
In daily use, CageTalkers Assist supports reliable work at changing stations and medical workbenches.
Notably, users can operate the system without any additional installation.
For isolator work, staff wear the input device on the arm and use it through transparent gloves.
Similarly, for daily CageCheck, users remove the tablet from the dock and record observations at the rack.
Regarding space, CageTalkers Assist uses only one-third of a cage’s floor area.
At the same time, the system combines a 5.5″ tablet, a scanner or RFID reader, and a smart input unit.
As a result, the tablet meets hygiene rules and fits small workbench spaces.
Meanwhile, voice-guided dialogs explain each next step clearly.
Together, the isolated input unit allows safe, ergonomic, and hygienic work near the cages.
Finally, combined with digital cage cards and Pick-by-Light LEDs, CageTalkers Assist acts as a worker assistance system.
In this approach, people perform the tasks, while the system ensures safety, quality, and transparency.
